‘The Places Which Made Me’

The places which made me’ is a collaborative map designed intentionally for the Journey Through Black Geographies Fair. The map aims to challenge fixed ideas of place and home, recognising that we are all ‘made’ through a multitude of places and connections. Press the green pin below to begin!

The piece calls for contributors to think of three places which made them and stick them on the map. These places can represent anything (or anyone) that contributors feel a deep connection to, some ideas to consider might be:

→ Where you were born or grew up

→ Where your parents or loved ones are from

→ Places you’ve lived in

→ Where you discovered something new about yourself

→ A place that changed you
