WATCH: Panel 2 - ‘In conversation: Victoria Okoye and Nathaniel Télémaque on Visual Methodologies’

Join Victoria and Nathaniel in a dialogue around the adoption of visual methods in Black Geographies. With insights from both of their doctoral research projects and wider community work initiatives, the discussion will explore how they go about working with lens-based technologies and visual materials, creatively, collaboratively, and ethically, towards critical knowledge production on Black space and place.

Nathaniel Télémaque is a visual artist, writer and researcher who explores ‘everyday things’ in urban settings. Nathaniel is currently completing a practice-based Geography PhD at UCL, and is also a part of the Pesolife Art Collective.

Victoria Okoye is a lecturer in Black Geographies at the University of Edinburgh. Her research focussed on creative spatial practices and everyday space making in urban West African contexts.
